Regardless if you are waxing or shaving exfoliating is a MUST!

What is exfoliating?

Exfoliating removes dead skin cells and built-up dirt from your skins surface. Exfoliating can be done in many different ways. You can use an in shower body scrub that has a gritty texture to remove dead skin. Enzymes can also be used as a form of chemical exfoliant. Most chemical exfoliants are done outside of the shower. Commonly used exfoliating compounds are pumpkin enzymes, pineapple enzymes, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, mandelic acid, and lactic acid.

When should you exfoliate?

When it comes to waxing you would need to exfoliate no more than 24 hours before your wax and no more than 24- 48 hours after your wax. Exfoliating is beneficial 2-3 times a week even if you are not waxing.

Benefits for exfoliating?

Exfoliating has many benefits such as removing dead skin so skin can look brighter, it will also help prevent and treat breakouts and ingrown hairs. Exfoliating for will help your hair grow back without irritation.
